What To Do About Back Pain
There are many approaches to helping people suffering from back pain that include: Upper Cervical Chiropractic care, Physical Therapy, corticosteroid injections, and other therapeutic medications/gels/creams. There are also many stretching routines available online to follow (click here for a low back stretching routine).
As a rule of thumb, you will want to make sure your spinal structure is in alignment. If the upper neck spine is out of alignment, you will often notice balance problems. If you begin to favor one side of the body, certain muscles will pull tight, causing a dull and achy pain. For example: Imagine holding a bowling ball close to your body. You might be able to hold it for a few minutes. As you begin to distance the bowling ball away from your body, it becomes increasingly heavier and harder to hold. You'll notice your low back will get tight, so on and so forth.
In certain situations, back pain may also be sharp. Sharp pain may be due to disc or facet joint that has been affected. Nevertheless, it is important to get proper x-ray and/or MRI imaging to ensure proper treatment and management.
